The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has been mandated by the European Union to assist the Union of the Comoros in strengthening the technical capacities and competitiveness of young entrepreneurs (women and men) and private sector VSEs/SMEs for the processing and marketing of innovative and quality products, the identification of potential markets, the sourcing of raw materials, and the sustainable processing of local resources.

In addition, the International Trade Centre (ITC) has been mandated by the European Union to improve the investment climate and the business environment through a strengthened public-private dialogue conducive to the country's industrialisation, and to promote a culture of quality at the national level, both at the level of local producers and final consumers.
