APILE and PIDC: a strategic alliance to transform the poultry sector in Comoros
June 12, 2024From May 14 to 16, 2024, the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum (WEIF), held in Manama, Bahrain, was attended by two of the Comorian Entrepreneurship Support Structures supported by the APILE project. The participation of Ms Wardat Said Hachim from Com’Work and Ms Anazra Mohamed from OUSSAID underlined the growing importance of entrepreneurship in the Comoros on the international scene.
The WEIF, organized by UNIDO’s Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO), was held in parallel with the Arab Leaders Summit 2024, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain. For its fifth edition, the event brought together leading figures in global entrepreneurship, investors and business leaders to discuss innovation, economic growth and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Thanks to the support of the APILE project, Comorian ESSs have been able to rise to the level of major international organizations and raise the profile of Comorian initiatives in business creation and support for young entrepreneurs. Indeed, the APILE project aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Comoros, by providing resources, training and opportunities for entrepreneurs to develop. The WEIF was an ideal platform for showcasing the successes already achieved and encouraging fruitful exchanges and collaborations with foreign players, particularly in the MENA region.
In addition to forging links with international investors and private sector players, Comorian ESSs were able to share experiences and best practices, while strengthening Comoros’ position in the global entrepreneurial landscape.
