The Comoros’ historic participation at IATF 2023: an exceptional showcase
December 1, 2023The success of the inaugural edition of the BIC Africa African Boot Camp, held on October 24 and 25 in Nairobi, Kenya, stems from a fruitful collaboration between the European Union and EBN. This intensive two-day event brought together 15 business incubator managers from the five participating countries: Angola, Comoros, Ethiopia, Madagascar, and Somalia.
Represented by INNOVLAB, COMOR’LAB, and OUSSAID, the Comoros actively took part in the Boot Camp through the APILE program.
The primary objective of the Boot Camp organized by BIC Africa was to equip incubators with essential knowledge and skills, focusing on business mentoring, start-up coaching, talent sourcing, and building lasting relationships. Incubator managers honed their services through collaborative exercises and exchanges with other participants and expert facilitators.
The first day covered key themes such as human resources, talent acquisition, business mentoring, and certification systems. The second day centered on establishing successful relationships with major corporations, including a networking visit to iHub Nairobi and other incubators, enriching our understanding of the Kenyan ecosystem.
Since its launch in September 2021, BIC Africa has trained 42 experts from 20 hubs or centers, stimulating the development of new services for entrepreneurs. This marks a crucial step in promoting African entrepreneurship.
